Scholarships
To continue to make progress, we must support the next generation of BIPOC leaders. Scholarships are one of many ways we ensure that all students have the opportunity to maximize their potential.
Michael P. Anderson Scholarship
Michael P. Anderson, known for his time as an Air Force officer and, most notably, as an astronaut, had a penchant for hard work and consistency. He graduated from Cheney High School and later the University of Washington. Despite his time spent elsewhere, Anderson still considered Eastern Washington to be his home. Over the years he has served as a beacon of hope and inspiration for young black people not only in Eastern Washington but everywhere. In the words of Lieutenant Colonel Michael P. Anderson, “If you apply yourself, work hard to be persistent, and don’t give up, you can achieve anything you want to achieve.”
